About
Four small booklets were designed and combined into a 96-page book. Independently printed at Central Saint Martins, the final book was produced in two copies—one assembled as a hardcover using French stitch binding, and the other using perfect binding.

Process
Each booklet was completed over a two-week period, with regular feedback meetings centered on presentations, research insights, and test prints. Using Milanote, mood boards were created alongside article collection from library and online database research. Initial printing trials posed challenges, but these led to valuable experience in manuscript printing.
Within the InDesign files, skills in professional page numbering and grid system usage were refined. The project incorporated the Sherborne Variable font, along with hand-carved prints and illustrations, which added depth and personalization to the final piece.
Product
Over the course of the semester, four booklets were developed, culminating in the final product:
-
Visual Essay—A compilation of found images.
-
Conversations—A collection of interviews and typography explorations.
-
Curation—A blend of research and imagery.
-
Translation and Reinterpretation—A reinterpretation of selected content gathered from the previous booklets, presented in a different format such as a website, film, installation, or performance.
This extensive research and creative process resulted in this 96-page book.
